PROJECTS WITH LITTLE OR NO BUDGET:

This film was shot in one day and in its entirety, including writing, produced within 2 weeks on a shoestring. It is evident that there is too much dialogue within the screenplay and direction is rushed. However, I think it’s important for me to share this project as the art direction, props, costume, cinematography and music are it’s stronger points. With further development, this story could work well as a children’s book.

This project was my first experience of the technique of ‘Pixilation’ at the National Film and Television School and subsequently what inspired Stanley Pickle. It was shot on a Betacam hence the terrible quality, students are taught about the technique then given limited time and resources. I have since led this workshop for the MA Students.
